Composed over 25 years towards the end of Bach’s life, the Mass in b-minor (BWV 232) is the culmination of Bach’s spiritual journey and one of the crowning glories of Western music.
As part of a wider perspective at the Kilkenny Arts Festival (Eternal Harmony: The Music of J S Bach), Chamber Choir Ireland is delighted to make a return visit to the Festival. Chamber Choir Ireland will perform in a unique collaboration with Camerata Kilkenny in a one-off performance of the Mass under the direction of Chamber Choir Ireland's Artistic Director, Paul Hillier. From the dramatic Kyrie to the sublime Agnus Dei, this special performance in St Canice's Cathedral is set to be a highlight of the 42nd Festival.
