For Culture Night 2017, Chamber Choir Ireland is joined by guest conductor Nils Schweckendiek, for a concert inspired by the deepest reaches of the human imagination. Messiaen's passionate love song Cinq Rechants meets the soaring evocative lines of Rautavaara’s Lorca Suite while the dark prophecies of Leonardo da Vinci in Beat Furrer’s Enigmas are joined by the fantastic visions of a 19th century Swiss psychiatric patient in Per Nørgård’s Wie ein Kind. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear a selection of 20th and 21st-century choral works in the beautiful surrounds of St Ann’s Church.
Although free of charge, this concert is ticketed to allow for venue capacity.

the ocean covers the earth
and the heart feels itself
island in the infinite."
