Applications now open for Tenso CONNECT—an international internship programme for singers and conductors

The European Network for Professional Chamber Choirs is now accepting applications for their international internship programme, Tenso CONNECT.

Tenso CONNECT offers meaningful training and networking opportunities for conductors and singers, aiming to cultivate their potential as professional cultural communicators within society.

The project will run from autumn 2024 through November 2025. The 24 singers and 6 conductors selected will:

  • Intern with top European choirs: Forge connections with renowned professionals firsthand.
  • Develop key skills: Classes in digital connection, leadership, and societal impact will equip you to connect more deeply.
  • Join a vibrant online Tenso CONNECT community: Build lasting connections with fellow choral professionals.
  • Network with industry leaders: Attend two Tenso CONNECT conferences and connect with the faces from the network.

Singers will also get to sing in the Tenso CONNECT project choir, showcasing their learnings and connecting through singing together.

Participating member choirs include Ensemble AEDES (France), Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir(Estonia), Helsinki Kamarikuoro (Finland), Cappella Amsterdam (Netherlands), Croatian Radiotelevision Choir (Croatia), Chamber Choir Ireland (Ireland), Coro Casa da Música (Portugal), RIAS Kammerchor (Denmark), Musicatreize (France), and Turkish State Choir (Tukey).

As a Tenso member choir, Chamber Choir Ireland looks forward to welcoming a conducting intern as part of the programme.

Eligibility

While Tenso will primarily focus on applicants aged between 25-35, applications from singers of all ages are encouraged. To participate, you must be a citizen of the European Union or residing in Europe for at least three years.
